The exterior lines and general arrangement of Supernova 50 are co-authored by Tommaso Spadolini and ELIE SAAB, whose combined vision shapes the yacht’s proportions, volumes, silhouette and internal space planning.
This evolution expands Maiora’s design and construction capabilities and marks the beginning of a new phase of development, bringing the shipyard’s design culture into the world of large displacement yachts under 500 GT.
Supernova 50 is the manifesto of Maiora’s new vision: a strategy combining engineering expertise and shipbuilding capability with a renewed idea of contemporary luxury, centered on hospitality and an increasingly direct connection with the sea. At its heart is a new idea of life at sea – every environment conceived for privacy, effortless circulation and a seamless relationship between interior and exterior spaces, with exceptional outdoor areas distributed across five decks. Inspired by the world of high-end hospitality, the design philosophy shapes the distribution of spaces, the flexibility of the environment and the attention devoted to natural light: a yacht conceived not simply for navigation, but for living.
The design prioritizes spatial volumes normally associated with much larger vessels, creating a dynamic, contemporary profile in which architecture, materials, light and the surrounding seascape come together to define a single experience.
At 50 meters in length, with a beam of approximately 9 meters, a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, and a gross tonnage below 500 GT, Supernova 50 is presented in a six-cabin configuration: the owner’s suite on the Owner’s Deck and five guest cabins, two of them true suites on the main deck – one extending to approximately 30 square meters – each with a private terrace of approximately 7 square meters, extending to guests some of the privileges normally reserved for the owner.

Inside, Supernova 50 reveals the unmistakable signature of ELIE SAAB, under the creative direction of Elie Saab and Carlo Colombo. A refined selection of pieces from the ELIE SAAB Maison collection is complemented by bespoke elements designed specifically for the yachting environment, translating the brand’s codes of refinement, proportion and elegance. Every material and finish is the result of Italian craftsmanship, combining timeless design and functionality with the demands of life on board.
For Maiora, Supernova 50 also marks a decisive industrial step. Building in steel and aluminum takes the brand into a new category of international yachting, drawing on decades of accumulated experience and on the technological and organizational growth developed within Next Yacht Group. The move is underpinned by a highly integrated industrial model: by concentrating construction, outfitting and completion between the Group’s Pisa and Viareggio facilities, Maiora maintains direct and continuous control over the entire production process, from hull construction through to delivery — a geographically concentrated, internally coordinated supply chain that safeguards quality, ming and consistency at every stage. This is not simply about building bigger yachts: it is an industrial structure built to support Maiora’s ambition to offer a new interpretation of living and travelling at sea.

Currently under construction at Maiora’s Pisa shipyard, in SIMAN facilities, with delivery scheduled for the second half of 2028, Supernova 50 marks the brand’s tangible entry into the world of steel and aluminum superyachts and, together with ELIE SAAB, the first chapter of a new era set to redefine Maiora’s future within the international high-end yachting landscape.

OWNER’S DECK
One of Supernova 50’s most distinctive features is the Owner’s Deck, conceived as a true private domain for the owner. The spacious suite, located on the upper deck with panoramic 180-degree views of the sea, opens onto a private forward terrace, creating approximately 90 square meters of combined interior and exterior space — an expansive, secluded area that brings to a 50-metre yacht a level of privacy normally associated with significantly larger yachts.

BEACH AREA
Aft, the beach area offers a radical reinterpretation of the relationship with the water: more than a traditional access point to the sea, it is conceived as a genuine extension of the yacht onto the water, with a transformable configuration, swimming pool and fold-down wings that expand the available surface and visually dissolve the yacht’s boundaries. Space for a large tender is integrated into the design without compromising the enjoyment of this area on board.

OUTDOOR
Expansive terraces and outdoor areas extend across the yacht’s five decks, offering different settings for socializing, relaxation and privacy, while creating a succession of viewpoints and connections with the surrounding seascape — from the Owner’s Deck terrace to the main-deck suites and the aft beach area, the sea remains a constant presence, both underway and at anchor. True to its vocation as an authentic Voyager, Supernova 50 also reflects specific design choices dedicated to navigation: the wheelhouse, positioned on the Sun Deck alongside the captain’s cabin, benefits from uninterrupted views of the horizon, reinforcing the yacht’s character as a vessel conceived for long-distance, demanding navigation. With a draft of 2.40 meters, transatlantic range and a top speed of approximately 16 knots, Supernova 50 is conceived for owners who genuinely love to travel and want to undertake long-range voyages with outstanding autonomy, comfort and freedom — not simply a superyacht on which to stay, but a yacht with which to truly travel.
